Magnificent set of  11 Antique Damask Monogrammed Dated Lapkins Napkins, these are the largest napkins I have ever had the pleasure to own if only for a short time, they measure a whopping 42" x 31.5", they are monogrammed  with the letters "LDC' and dated `24 not sure what century 1824 1924? , they are of German origin, are in excellent condition, the ivory linen is strong with no weak or thin spots or holes, some of them have a small X embroidered on the same corner that the monogram and date is - this was probably a marker for the seamstress so that all monograms would be on the correct corner, 2 sides have hand rolled hems and 2 are selvage, the monogram is small and did not capture well on  camera, however I doubt if you will be disappointed, they will most definitely be the topic of discussion at your next dinner party.
